I’ll never forget how it all began. Someone in Houston had gotten a hold of several of my sermons on cassette tape. This was back in the day when we thought that cassette tapes were the latest in technological breakthroughs! This man, whom I had never met before, got the idea of somehow broadcasting my sermons to the greater Houston population.

At that time, we weren’t able to edit the sermons that I preached at our local church to make them broadcast ready for a radio program, and we certainly didn’t have the money to tackle such a venture. But when God calls, God supplies. And through a series of conversations and intersections, God made a way for me to begin recording the radio broadcast at the Dallas Theological Seminary studios, free of charge.

In a cramped space each week, I would preach my heart out – usually to an audience of just a solitary technical assistant or two. But God’s Word went forth into the Houston area, and since then He has seen fit to extend the reach of our radio ministry not only across America, but around the world.

I praise God for all He has done in these 35 years of ministry.
