Some people will not make it into God’s heaven, even though their pardon has already been signed. Jesus has signed it, but we have to personally receive it. That means answering His call. And once you have received Him, you are transformed into a new creation. Do you realize how exciting that is to have another chance, and this time to do everything with the help and encouragement of the Holy Spirit?

Maybe you have forgotten who you really are. If so, please let me remind you. If you have received Jesus Christ into your life, you are a joint heir with Him. That means everything that happened to Jesus is afforded to us as believers. He died, and we too have to die daily to the things of this world. He Himself told us that we would suffer persecution. But that’s not the end of the story. He arose, and we arise with Him in victory and power. If we live life focusing on who we are – joint heirs with Christ – we can get through the difficult times because there is hope. There is joy ahead. There is a promise waiting to be fulfilled.
