Dear Friend,
When my oldest son was young, I bought him a bike for Christmas. While it came with a manual that explained how to put it together, I had no intentions of using it. When it came to intelligence, I was certain I had more than enough. I spent 12 years after high school in the halls of academia. Certainly, I could figure out what to do with a few nuts and bolts. The bike that I had bought for my son had a lot more than nuts and bolts, but stubbornly, I had firmly decided that I didn’t need this manual.
Eight hours later with just the handlebars built, I noticed that my wife, Lois, came to the door, and I’ll bet you could guess what she said when she saw that unassembled bike. “Why don’t you read the manual?” Could it be, just maybe, that the bicycle maker (and writer of the manual) knew more about bicycle-building than I did?
Similarly, could it be that the Life-maker knows more about life-living than we do? This holiday season, let me offer you some great wisdom—not mine, but God’s.
“I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well.” – Psalm 139:14
We always remember the part about how wonderfully made we are, but we fail to notice that the wonderful part about it is that it’s God’s workmanship.
His wonderful works are evident in my own life and in my ministry. Yet, I claim nothing for myself and owe it all to Him. In the upcoming year, His kingdom will continue to be revealed, and being a part of that is a blessing unto itself.
The Urban Alternative flourishes because the Lord provides through the obedience and generosity of people like you. For your contribution to the ministry this month, we’ll be sending you some of our most requested messages over the past year on CD and downloadable links.
As we near year-end, will you consider a most generous gift to enable us to finish the year strong?Thank you again for standing with us as we seek to take the glorious message of Jesus Christ to a world in need.
For the King and His kingdom,
Testimony Time

“Once again, Tony, you have spoken the words of the Father to me today 'like apples of gold.'”
“Love the Tony Evans app.”
“Tony Evans, you are an amazing pastor! I have listened to you on the radio and have read your books for years. Thank you, and God bless you.”
