From Tony's Heart Feb 2014

Dear Friend,

The story is told of a young boy named Timothy whose sister was sick. She suffered from an ailment that Timothy had also suffered from, yet had overcome, a few years earlier. The doctor explained to the parents that her sickness had progressed much worse than Timothy’s had, and they held little hope for her recovery. Her only chance of survival at that point would be found in a blood transfusion.

Since she had an extremely rare blood type, and her Timothy had the same type as well as he had developed immunities in overcoming the same sickness before, the doctor suggested that Timothy be the donor. His parents agreed, so the doctor proceeded to ask him.

“Would you give your blood to your sister?” he asked, leaning over closely to the young boy’s face. At first, Timothy hesitated. His chin began to quiver as he fought back tears. Then in a solemn strength, he forced a smile. “Yes, I’ll do it,” he said.

They wheeled both children into the transfusion room and began to insert the needles. Timothy watched the blood flow out of his arm and into the tubes. He sat there quietly for most of the time until nearing the end, he spoke. “Doctor?” Timothy asked. “When do I die?”

That’s when the doctor realized that Timothy thought giving his blood for his sister meant he wouldn’t be able to keep it for himself. He had willingly offered the greatest sacrifice.

That story isn’t true, but the one that secured our salvation when Jesus Christ willingly gave His lifeblood to cleanse our own is. Through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross He has purchased for us our eternal salvation. It is the greatest message and truth that exists in all the world, and it is a message that I am passionate about sharing whenever and however I can. I hope you will join with me in taking this message to a world in need through your financial support and prayers. It is because of faithful friends like you that we are able to buy radio and television airtime to broadcast the teaching of God’s Word.

And this month we are making available some of our most requested and popular resources for your gift of any amount. Request your copy of The AfterLife CD sermon series with a special bonus personal study guide for your gift of any amount. And for your gift of $50 or more, we will also send you Volume 1 of my sermon series “Our Great Salvation.”

I pray that these resources will challenge and grow you spiritually as you come to know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the value of the greatest gift ever given to anyone – salvation! Again, thank you for standing with us in donating to the ministry so that we can continue to take the message of salvation to the lost.
