Dear Friend,
I read a story about a Jewish woman named Sara who tried to get a visa to leave Germany in the late 1930s to avoid the expected persecution. Her husband and children waited at home while she camped out in a humid government office filled with hundreds of other Jews intent on leaving the country. An entire day in that office went by, and the bureaucrat behind the desk said, “No visas, come back tomorrow.” By God’s grace, she found lodging for the night and returned the following morning to repeat the process.
By the end of the second day, the bureaucrat said, “There are no visas. Everyone must go home.” The crowd swelled with anger and despair. Some cussed, others ranted and fear gripped the room. As their outrage only grew, Sara determined within herself that she would not join in the complaining.
She waited until most of the crowd left, and then walked up to the window where the bureaucrat shuffled his papers. She said, “I want to thank you for all of your time. Have a good day.”
As she descended the stairway, overwhelmed with worry for her family, she heard the clacking of loafers on the stairwell above her. The bureaucrat handed her some paper and said, “I have these visas I can give you.” The very next day, Sara and her family left Europe for good.
Never underestimate the power of a kind word offered at the right time.
Never underestimate the power of a kind word offered at the right time. Taking the time to let go of whatever’s bothering you and to speak grace into someone else’s life opens the door to you receiving blessing from others. Take control of your words today by surrendering yourself to the one you call Lord. Only He can transform your speech into something truly life-giving.
I want to put in your hands my powerful book, Watch Your Mouth. Discover the power of your tongue to turn what looks like a discouragement and delay into your destiny! I will send you the book, as well as a DVD Bible study kit, all as thanks for your gift of any amount to our ministry.
Thank you for your support of the ministry as you partner with us in taking the Word of God to a world in need. May God richly bless and guide you in the days ahead.
For His kingdom,
Why We Do What We Do
"Dr. Evans,
This is a brief message to inform you that I am a social studies teacher at SF Christian Schools in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. I strongly believe in your ministry and what it means for millions of people around this world. I do my very best to read your devotions and/or show your video clips to my students on a daily basis. Your devotions have had a great impact on the students and myself, and I am very pleased that all of your devotions are always Bible-driven and very relevant to all, especially my young adults here at SFC Schools. Thanks for being such a great Christian example for myself and ALL of my students."

"Hello, Dr. Evans,
My name is Malik. I live in Los Angeles, CA, and I am a worship leader at Oasis Church. I just completed a study group with some powerful men of God on your powerful curriculum, Kingdom Man. This has transformed our vision of manhood to be more in line with God’s plan. Thank you, sir. We are now charged to become stronger leaders in our church and community."
