Occasionally, I try to imagine the volume of prayer requests that God receives from us on a daily basis. “Please help me pay the monthly bills!” “Restore my broken marriage!” “Heal my mother!” “Give me more of your blessing!” In those moments, it might seem like our need is the only one in the world that matters, but the truth is millions of these petitions go up all the time. Our God answers a high volume of requests, and fortunately, He is completely capable of handling that volume.
But, how often do we express our thankfulness for all that He has already done in our lives? How many of us limit the expression of our gratitude to a prayer around the dinner table at Thanksgiving? Compare that with Psalm 30:12, which reads, “That my soul may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.” Let’s not wait until the fourth Thursday in November to show the Lord how abundantly thankful we are for all the blessings He has provided.

“I found a copy of The Alternative View from October 1996 today as I was looking for my college transcripts. The content of this particular publication is exactly what my children have been inquiring about this week. God is so good!”
