When you look around you, it seems like everyone has an agenda. People have plans, programs, things they want to accomplish, and specific ways they want to accomplish them. They make lists, set goals and try to reach them. Maybe you’ve got your own agenda as well.
“He has made everything beautiful in its time …” Ecclesiastes 3:11a (NIV)
Too many believers today are trying to find fulfillment and significance through human means. They are trying to discover their destinies through man’s methods. However, man’s methods never accomplished God’s goals. Jesus revealed that fully when He answered Pilate straightforwardly. Jesus said, “My Kingdom is not of this world. If My Kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting, that I might not be delivered up to the Jews; but as it is, My Kingdom is not of this realm.” (John 18:36)
Family was established to provide the opportunity and framework for individuals to collectively carry out the plan of God in history. In particular, that plan includes the replication of God’s image and the implementation of His rule, or dominion, on earth. Dominion simply means ruling on God’s behalf in history so that history comes under God’s authority.
One of the most important principles to keep in mind as a kingdom woman is that your life uniquely flows through different seasons. Each of these seasons carries with it different time-restraints, blessings and also demands. To try and do all things without being cognizant of the season you are in is the surest way to lead to burnout, and even bitterness.
