Galatians was written by the Apostle Paul to clear up some major misunderstandings about the gospel.

The Christians in Galatia were confused because there were false teachers who were telling them that you had to work hard to earn the acceptance of God. Grace is the underlying theme of the book of Galatians. Paul says that it’s impossible to live up to God’s standards on our own, because the way of the flesh (our human efforts) and the way of the Spirit are diametrically opposed.
