Verse: Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel (Immanuel). Isaiah 7:14

Meaning: God with us.

Prayer: Adoration: Immanuel, God with us. The highest, most perfect being – the Creator of all things – chose to dwell among us. You became a baby in a barn. You didn’t allow your surroundings to define you. You didn’t allow your human heritage to limit you. You are fully God but also fully man, and because of this you took on the sin of all humanity and offered us salvation. Immanuel, there is none like you. You are the hope of glory. You are the ever present help in a time of need. You are closer than a brother, more dearer than a friend. You are the King of kings, in a manger – the humble King who came to reveal the character and heart of the Father to us all.
